The first game of the season is almost here. And from what I have been watching in ST the Sox look like they will be able to rebound from the last three seasons. One question that remains is where will Jackie Bradley Jr. start the season? It would in a way make sense for him to start in the majors because the team could use the depth right now, but if he starts in the majors will he get the playing time that he needs to develop and get better as a player? It might be better for him to start in the minors so he does get the playing time that he needs. Something that is sensitive is the situation with Stephen Drew, he hasn’t taken the field since March 7 due to a concussion and still dealing with concussion symptoms. Recovering from a concussion is something that Drew and the Sox need to be patient with, if he comes back to early he could do more damage. Big Papi is another sensitive situation, it could be a possibility that his achilles never fully healed and he started things too early, this is another situation that will require patience. Another thing that I have noticed watching spring training is that the Sox are doing an excellent job dealing with the situations of Drew and Papi. Even though things have looked good in spring training the first month and a half-two months of the season are gonna be the true test of the team rebounding from the last three seasons. Can they do it?
