Looking Up

There are exciting things happening this month in Red Sox Nation, and exciting things have been happening.  The month of June was a lot kinder to the Red Sox than April and May.  As I am writing this, the Sox are 6 1/2 games out of first place, however it is something that they can get themselves out of, and things are definitely looking up.  There has been a vast improvement in play from everyone on the team.  I had a really good feeling that eventually things would turn around, and they did.  I’m still not going into panic mode, I won’t start going into panic mode until probably September or late August.  I’ve been really happy with where the Sox are headed down the stretch.  And today is the official start of the second half of the season, and it’s going to be an exciting one at that.

This month, in a two weeks on Sunday, July 26, Pedro will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and two days later on Tuesday, July 28th his number 45 will be retired by the Red Sox.  I grew up watching Pedro, so it will be really exciting to be at Fenway when his number is retired, I’m curious as to the surprises that the Sox will pull out for his number retirement ceremony!!

I’m really looking forward to watching the second half of the season and seeing what the Sox will do.  Oh and my favorite thing has been the #45DaysOfPedro from the Red Sox Instagram account!!
